Once we have gotten you back on track, there are some simple things you can do to reduce the likelihood of you needing to visit the dentist with an emergency:
Have regular dental routine exams to identify any potential problems and treat them before they become serious. We have affordable membership plans on offer which many of our patients enjoy as they help you spread the cost of your dental care. They even include emergency call out charges!
Don’t ignore minor toothache; it won’t get better by itself and the longer you leave it the more serious the underlying problem will become.
If you play contact sports, wear a mouthguard to protect against injury.
What is a dental emergency?
Generally speaking, a dental emergency includes any dental problem where you have severe pain, swelling or bleeding that develops unexpectedly or following dental treatment.
The following do NOT fall under the category of emergency dental care: Tooth which has chipped and is not causing immediate pain or bleeding, a crown which has come out, orthodontic brackets which have come loose, ulcers, mild puffiness or redness of the gums.
